Cafe refurbishment!

We’ve been desperate to share this news with you for a while, and are now so pleased that we can. Starting in the next few months work on a HUGE refurb to our Courtyard Cafe will be starting. We have recognised for quite a while that as we have grown, and welcomed more visitors, our Courtyard Cafe struggles, often with queues and slower service than we would like due to the restrictive layout and equipment. That is why we submitted planning and had it approved last year for a whole extension and refit of our cafe, this has been 18 months in the planning. You can look forward to:
☕ A serving counter 3x as large as it currently is
☕ 2 tills for peak times
☕ New serving hatch to serve out onto the lawn
☕ Brand new coffee machines serving delicious barista coffees
☕ Brand new stylish tables and chairs
☕ Stunning new flooring
☕ Brand new full length glazing around the cafe to bring the outdoors in
☕ Brand new purpose built kitchen built onto the back of our cafe which gives our team more than double the working space in a top-of-the-range shiny new kitchen with brand new equipment.
Think open, bright and welcoming, and we CANNOT wait to share more soon.
Our cafe will remain open during the 4 – 6 month project, but it will require short periods of reduced menus and reduced seating areas, we will keep you abreast with this, and this should be at a minimum and during quiet times. So, we are very much looking forward to delivering you the NEW Courtyard Cafe from August 2025
This North Nofolk Rural Business and Community project is part-funded by the UK Government through the Rural England Prosperity Fund, was supported by North Norfolk District Council and delivered in partnership with Norfolk County Council.
The Rural Fund funds capital projects for small businesses and community infrastructure. This will help to improve productivity and strengthen the rural economy and rural communities,
