Wave Garden
Designed by Chelsea Flower Show gold medallist Julie Toll, this woodland idyll is the perfect place to roam, reflect and see lush foliage all year long. Be sure to make a beeline for our popular sculptures, which you’ll find dotted around the landscape.
A sculpture garden for all seasons
Green and gorgeous all year long, it’s the place to soak up some serenity and be at one with nature.
Explore the garden
The Wave Garden is where you can come to get away from it all. Set under a canopy of native oak and birch trees, this shady woodland spot is framed by rolling yew hedging and packed with simple planting. The original garden has been extended to include a lakeside area with stunning views across the water. And the semi-circular seating areas are perfect to pass the time with friends and family – and take in the eye-catching sculpture Nest.

What you’ll see
The romantic landscape is rife with lush foliage – look out for Narcissus, Galanthus and Helleborus. Beyond the flora, keep your eyes peeled for some of Pensthorpe’s finest artworks, part of our sculpture trail. Look out for wildlife-inspired creations by Ros Newman, Miles Halpin and George Hidier.
