Explore Hootz House

Go owl-out in our thrilling nature-themed indoor play area. Your Pensthorpe ticket gets you in to Hootz House too, but it’s a good idea to book a time slot in advance because it can get very busy.

Socks need to be worn at all times, and we recommend being fully covered to ride our slides – please have a read about the safety rules and what to wear here.

To ensure you get the most fun in Hootz House we offer pre-bookable time-slots. This is to ensure the facilities are never too crowded as numbers are limited per session. At time of booking your general admission, you can choose from the following time slots:

  • 10:00
  • 11:30
  • 13:00
  • 14:15
  • 15:30

We also recommend booking Hootz House with your general admission, as spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. When adding Hootz House to your day at Pensthorpe, please ensure that all members of your booking are added – this includes adults! All children must be supervised by an adult.

Here is just some of the feathery fun on offer:

  • Curly slide-a fast slide that twists and turns!
  • Owlet Zone-a special under 3s zone with soft play for little chicks. And on that note, be ready for the ball shoot there –see it suck up balls and spit them out over your head!
  • Rope bridge-don’t look down as you traverse across from one part of play to another!

We also have Messy Morning sessions on every Monday to Friday 10am – 12noon during term time (open from 9.30am for members). Find out more here.

Perch and Peck

All that adventure can tucker out even the wildest thing. Not to worry! There’s a small café inside Hootz House selling teas, coffees, slushies and a selection of eats and treats, including sausage rolls. Come here to relax, refuel and then head back out there.
