Catering & Hospitality Manager

Pensthorpe strives to bring people closer to nature, and boasts a 700 acre nature reserve, Indoor play, outdoor play, retail, events and a catering offering. We are on the look out for a motivated catering leader, to push our Catering operations further, growing our Courtyard Cafe operation, along with Hootz House catering and ad hoc seasonal outlets such as our snack shack.

We’re looking for a passionate people person, who loves food, has an eye for detail and isn’t afraid of change. We’re heading on our next chapter of growth, and it’s a really exciting time to join our team.

This is a hands on role, working 5 days in 7 including weekends and bank holidays, working front of house (kitchen experience advantageous but not a deal breaker), leading our team from the front. The role presents a great work life balance with little to no evening working, and most shifts ending by 5:30pm

ROLE: Catering & Hospitality Manager

REPORTING TO: General Manager

ROLE SUMMARY: The purpose of this role is to manage the coordination of people and resources to ensure the effective functioning and success of all Pensthorpe’s catering and hospitality facilities.

Hours: 40 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays, little to no evening work

Assistant chef

REPORTING TO: Catering and Hospitality Manager
ROLE SUMMARY: The purpose of this role is to provide an excellent food and beverage service for
visitors to Pensthorpe’s food outlets.
SHIFT PATTERN: Minimum of 3 shifts per week (likely more)
SHIFT TIMING: Most shifts start at 8am and finish at 3:30pm offering a great work life balance.
Main Responsibilities
Food Preparation
1. Support all catering outlets at Pensthorpe
2. Prepare and serve dishes from the menu with the most accurate cooking or production techniques,
working to agreed portion sizes, and achieving minimum wastage
3. Adhere to food standards and company procedures and schedules
4. Ensure the working area within the kitchen is spotlessly clean at all times
5. Ensure that the servery and dining areas are spotlessly clean at all times
6. Support / work with the team to ensure stock is replenished as required, undertaking ordering and
receipt of deliveries, assisting in maintaining appropriate stock levels of all products both front and
back of house
