Retail & Admissions Manager
Pensthorpe strives to bring people closer to nature, and boasts a 700 acre nature reserve, Indoor play, outdoor play, retail, events and a catering offering. We are on the look out for an experienced retail and admissions manager to help push our retail and admission endeavors forward! .
The role of the Retail & Admissions Manager is leading the businesses retail and admission facilities. Your prime focus will be to ensure that our Park Admissions operation is efficient and effective in welcoming our visitors to the park. You will lead our retail operation, developing a sales culture, whilst building, and inspiring a strong visitor-centric team. You’ll be passionate about role modelling your customer service and selling skills, coaching, and inspiring your team through great leadership and adopting a proactive approach to visitor engagement. You’ll also be proactive within the provision of an effective buying function for the shop, reviewing suppliers, trends and exploring retail opportunities.

The seasonal warden would be working alongside a passionate and friendly team and requires a flexible working pattern of working five days out of seven, during weekends, public holidays, and evenings. On-site accommodation is provided and a full clean driving licence and car ownership essential.
The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic approach with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team.
This position offers a great opportunity for those interested in developing their experience, knowledge and practical understanding of aviculture, species conservation and reintroduction as well as working at a nature reserve and popular visitor attraction.

The role of seasonal Gardener is concerned with maintaining the excellent appearance of the park, providing a friendly professional image to visitors and assisting in the care and maintenance of all Pensthorpe’s plant collections, including in the Courtyard and at Pensthorpe Hall
Joining us on a fixed term contract of 16 hours per week over 2 days from 1st April – 29th September 2024.
As part of the Garden team you will perform a varied and physical role undertaking a range of activities in all weathers helping to keep the park looking its best and providing a welcoming greeting to visitors.
