Celebrate the end of summer with one final after-hours evening at Pensthorpe.
After two hugely popular evenings earlier this summer, our Adults-Only Date Night is back for one final event of the season.
As summer gives way to autumn, we’re opening the reserve exclusively for grown-ups to enjoy Pensthorpe in a completely different light. Wander through five stunning gardens, discover incredible wildlife, enjoy exclusive keeper talks and activities, tackle our giant Maize Maze and relive your childhood in our award-winning outdoor play areas.
Whether you’re planning a unique date night, an evening with friends or simply fancy experiencing Pensthorpe after hours, this is your last chance to enjoy the magic of the reserve at sunset this year.
Your ticket includes:
- Full access to the reserve and all five gardens
- Pond dipping
- Flamingo talks
- Wader Aviary talks
- Access to our giant Maize Maze
- Unlimited access to our outdoor play areas (yes, adults are encouraged!)
Food, Drinks & Sunset Views
Make an evening of it with delicious stone-baked pizzas and loaded fries from our Courtyard Café, available to purchase throughout the event.
Our licensed bar will also be open, and as the evening cools, you can relax around the fire pits with optional marshmallow toasting while watching the sun set over the reserve.

Step into our giant maize maze and become a detective as you follow a trail of evidence, eliminate suspects and uncover the truth behind The Great Cornspiracy. Search for clue boards hidden throughout the maze, examine the evidence and decide which of our unlikely suspects could be responsible.
