Find all the butterfly & dragonfly hotspots on this walk around the reserve with our expert warden. Observe them in their natural habitats where you’ll find lots of lovely flora and insect life.

Glow worm hunt
Discover the allusive glow worm with a night tour of the reserve with one of our expert Wardens. A torch light guided adventure hunting the bioluminescence of these adult beetles.

Join us for an after-dark evening of discovery where you will be able to spot and learn the resident owls, bats and moths that call Pensthorpe home.

Discover winter ducks & evening roost
One of our expert wardens will take you on a guided walk around the lakes giving you information about all of the wild winter ducks. The walk will finish at the wader scrape where you will see the birds flying in to roost at sunset.
